Do you like blood sausage? If the answer to that question is "no," don't go to the beach with Anthony Bourdain because apparently, he won't save you from drowning. That's how enthusiastic the culinary explorer is about this meaty delicacy, which he'll feast upon in Cologne, Germany on the next episode of Parts Unknown.
There, the iron-loaded sausage is served in a hearty portion along with mashed potatoes, fried onions, and applesauce, putting Bourdain squarely into what he calls his "happy zone." Also on the menu: A gigantic cured pork shank that the host describes with religious fervor. (Presumably, he'll be washing all this down with plenty of beer.)
The Cologne episode of Parts Unknown airs this Sunday at 9 p.m. PST/EST. After that, there's just one episode remaining in season seven: Buenos Aires. Fret not, however: Season eight will premiere in September, and will feature Bourdain and President Obama's recent dinner in Vietnam.
