— Jeb Bush just weighed in on Donald Trump's #TacoBowlGate2016 fiasco, and his comments were, amazingly, right on the mark. Said the spurned Presidential wannabe: "What Trump did was so insensitive. First, not all Hispanics are Mexican. Secondly, not all Hispanics eat tacos. Thirdly, showing your sensitivity by eating an American dish is the most insensitive thing you can do. Fourthly, to say this, next to all things he already said, is a further insult. It's like eating a watermelon and saying, 'I love African-Americans.'"
— It's hard to resist those tiny bottles of overpriced, in-flight booze when you're being held captive at 30,000 feet: An employee for Endeavor Air was arrested this week for stealing 1,500 of the mini liquor bottles and re-selling them on Craigslist at a hefty discount. She's reportedly facing more anywhere from three to 15 years in prison.
— Ben & Jerry are known almost as much for their politics as they are for their ice cream, and their new flavor perfectly reflects that. Called Empower Mint, it's a peppermint-flavored ice cream with fudge swirls and brownie chunks; part of the flavor's proceeds to go the NAACP, and it's simultaneously launching alongside the company's "Democracy Is In Your Hands" campaign, which is dedicated to raising awareness for voter ID laws that the company says "disproportionately keep African-Americans and other minorities from casting their ballots, confusing registration processes and shorten[ing] early voting periods."
— Noted feminist writer Roxane Gay chronicled her effort to prepare Crockpot pot roast a la Martha Stewart. A quote: "The pot roast turned out beautifully but it was very under-seasoned which I blame both myself and Martha for. I blame Martha because, let’s be real, Madame Connecticut isn’t known for her flavor profiles. I blame myself for forgetting that."
