Dillon Francis, a DJ, celebrated the debut of his new moniker, DJ Dillon Francis, with the release of a music video for the song "Need You" with NGHTMRE this week. He shared details about the inspiration for the video with Billboard, including some tidbits about he-of-the-golden-pointy-hair, Guy Fieri.
In the video, a visor-clad Francis shows up to DJ a casual backyard party and ends up turning it on its head with his music and prompting some aggressive drinking, coordinated group dancing, and eventual chair kicking, body slamming, and silly stringing.
Francis collaborated with director Jack Wagner, who said Guy Fieri influenced the attire Francis and his friends wear in the music video. Well, Guy Fieri "or the assistant manager of an Arby's or an Applebee's," Wagner said. The vibe of "Guy Fieri DJ-ing" actually may not be too far off, as the man himself showed up at Coachella and posted some photos of himself and his son hanging out with Ice Cube.
