Real-Life Hamburglar Breaks Into Five Guys, Cooks Himself Dinner

Because hunger doesn't abide by business hours

A man in Washington, DC turned to burglary to sate a burger craving recently: Police are searching for a suspect who was caught on camera cooking himself dinner after hours at a Five Guys restaurant, reports CBS News.

The incident took place between 3 and 5 a.m. on March 18, when the suspect reportedly followed a delivery man inside the restaurant and waited until he left; then, he "rummaged through the establishment, cooked food, and stole bottled water before leaving the restaurant."

Of course, he's not the first person to work up an appetite in the process of breaking and entering: Last year a man in Prague hid in a restaurant's bathroom until all the staff left, then devoured hundreds of dollars worth of food including multiple roast geese. Frankly, it's a wonder no one's broken into Chick-fil-A on a Sunday to make themselves a chicken sandwich.
