Armenian Illustrator Turns Junk Food Into Fashion Designs

His edible designs are made with everything from chips to Pepsi

One Armenian illustrator is combining food and fashion to create unusual art. According to French blog Fast and Food, Edgar Artis is using popcorn, chocolate, and other junk foods to create edible dresses. Artis makes the appetizing designs on sketches of fashionable dresses by covering the silhouettes with pieces of candy and other snacks.

His art, in addition to making playing with your food fashionable, is making a stir on Instagram: His account, @edgar_artis, currently has more than 143,000 followers, and each of his photos receive tens of thousands of likes. From cocktail dresses made from sliced strawberries to ball gowns decorated with beets, Artis has cultivated quite a social media presence since his first post — a cocktail dress made with mandarin orange peels — less than six months ago.

Fries and ketchup are looking better than ever in this flirty mini.

The greens and purples in these red basil leaves give the design its rich hue.

Vibrant kiwi slices create the perfect print for this long gown.

Drops of milk were used to create this unique design.

This creation made from chocolate garnered more than 16,000 likes.
