Unlike some other politicians, former POTUS George W. Bush is an excellent tipper. Case in point: He recently left a $40 tip on a $21.47 meal. Any server would likely be thrilled by that profitable outcome, but as Mic reports, the recipient of this particular gratuity took to Twitter to crack a joke and in the process, caused a bit of a social media shitstorm.
The server in question, known to Twitter as @leisaiscool, posted a photo of herself posing with George W. and wife Laura after she waited on them at an unnamed restaurant last week, accompanying it with the caption, "bush did 911 but he did me a solid and left me a hella tip."
At the time of her tweet, Leisa tells Mic she only had around 200 followers and apparently thought her joke — which references a popular meme poking fun at September 11 truthers — wouldn't go much further than that. Instead, it ended up being retweeted more than 2,000 times and found her on the receiving end of some very angry tweets, with fellow Twitters users calling her a "libtard" and an "ungrateful brat," among other things.
Leisa attempted to clarify her position in a series of followup tweets, but the damage had already been done:

She tells Mic that Bush Jr. was "the sweetest person [she's] ever met" and called everyone "baby". Questions of domestic terrorism aside, Leisa also had some insights to offer on GWB's eating habits:
In case you were wondering, my buddy George absolutely hates mustard and his wife doesn't let him drink caffeine

Sadly, George probably won't be returning to Leisa's place of work for a mustard-less burger anytime soon. In the future, perhaps she'll refrain from looking a tipping horse in the mouth.
