Since its debut last year, Upper East Side cocktail bar Seamstress has dropped quality libations on one of Manhattan's more underserved drinking hoods. And now the team is back with Belle Shoals, a new Southern-themed bar and eatery with intoxicants built of peanuts and peach cobbler moonshine. Below, bartender James Palumbo offers up a simple, spirit-forward whisky drink with a touch of sweetness.

Raisin Hell
Makes 1

1 1/2 ounces Scotch, such as Cutty Sark
1/2 ounce red vermouth, such as Punt e Mes
1/2 ounce Jägermeister
1/2 ounce Pedro Ximénez sherry

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir to blend. Strain into a Nick & Nora glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
