Watch: Alton Brown’s Pre-Show Ritual Involves Bourbon-Spiked Coffee

Behind the scenes before a performance of “Eat Your Science"

This week marks the final segment of On Tour With Alton Brown — the Eater video series that covered a day behind the scenes of life on the road with the star of "Alton Brown Live: Eat Your Science." From coffee breaks and lunch excursions planned with the help of Brown's adoring fans (using the hashtag #ABRoadEats) to more doughnut donations than they know what to do with, the former Good Eats host and his team take advantage of the pre-show hours to sample some of Providence's culinary offerings.

On today's episode, Brown and the gang pregame the night's performance with one last outing in the city, to New Harvest Coffee and Spirits, a coffeeshop known for specialty, whiskey-spiked concoctions. We meet a few of the crew members who have worked alongside Brown since the beginning, as well as some fans who traveled to see the culinary superstar's show (again) — and then it's time for the curtain to go up.
