With hair like so many white-hot pokers, a closet full of Hawaiian shirts, razor-sharp accessories, and a penchant wearing polarized sunglasses indoors, it’s no surprise celebrity chef Guy Fieri is a top last-minute Halloween costume choice. Everyone from Chrissy Teigen to Mario Batali has donned the Donkey Sauce maker’s wardrobe. Even Toys R Us has capitalized on Fieri’s distinctive look. But how does the chef feel about encountering spooky imitators on All Hallows’ Eve?
According to People the Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives star does occasionally run into Fieri lookalikes while taking his youngest son Ryder trick-or-treating. “Every once in a while,” he says, “the kids will go, ‘Hey, he’s you! Hey, come over!’ and we do a picture and everything.” He adds: “I think it’s funny. It’s cool. You gotta be able to laugh. You gotta be able to enjoy it.”
Fieri puts up with a lot of abuse but the chef refuses to give into critics. He told Success magazine earlier this year that he likes his haircut “the way it is.” Of course, this hasn’t stopped fans from imagining Fieri as a regular guy.
