TipsForJesus Drops $3,000 Tip in Utah Bar After Michigan Football Loss

The server plans to use it to pay for a vacation.

Though the people behind TipsForJesus — the Instagram account that documents a group of big restaurant tippers — are still a mystery, they dropped one big hint this weekend. Turns out at least one in the crew is a huge University of Michigan fan. The megatippers resurfaced in Salt Lake City, Utah this weekend where they left a $3,000 tip on a $505 check, and likely sang karaoke, at Bourbon House.

The tip was left shortly after the Wolverines lost to the Utah Utes. An Instagram post shows the receipt scrawled with phrases in support of Michigan like "#Hail" and "#GoBlue." The tippers also wrote that their server, Bre Snow, "rocks" on the receipt. Snow tells Fox 13 that her and her boyfriend both work two jobs to make ends meet and that the tip will give them "some breathing room" and it might even go towards a "much needed vacation."

This isn't the most generous tip TipsForJesus has left. Last July, the anonymous tippers left a sever at Galatoire's in New Orleans a $10,000 tip. In December, the tippers left $14,000 worth of tips around the Christmas holiday split between four different severs in four different cities.
