Give credit to the Dutch for the latest breakthrough in vending machine technology. Students and entrepreneurs at Wageningen University in the Netherlands have come up with a device that dispenses real french fries. It deep-fries frozen strips of potato and then serves them up complete with mayonnaise, curry, or ketchup, all in about two minutes. There's only a prototype right now, but thankfully developers want to spread the technology across the globe. For anyone who hates dealing with humans but wants to indulge a little, this is a much better option than an automated quinoa restaurant.
