The latest treat to get the Oreo-treatment? Cinnamon buns. According to People, images of the alleged new flavor have surfaced on the internet. The pictures show that the Oreo is made of cinnamon cookies with a "cinnamon bun flavored creme." The packaging also doesn't appear to feature the words "limited edition," which means this could be a new addition to the permanent line-up.

Lately, it seems like Oreo cranks out a new cookie every couple of months. Earlier this summer, Nabisco released its Oreo Thins, a "light, crisp, and delicate" take on the classic sandwich cookie. And in the months before that, Oreo stocked grocery store shelves with flavors like cotton candybrownie batters'mores, and red velvet.

It looks like all this flavor innovation is paying off for Oreo, a snack that has been around for over 100 years. Last year, the world spent $2.5 billion on the sandwich cookie, which is $1 billion more than was spent on Oreos in 2007. Plus, the cookies are now available in nearly 100 countries.

UPDATE 9/29/2015: An Oreo spokesperson confirms that Cinnamon Roll Oreos are real, but that there is no confirmed release date yet.
