Beer Made From a Brewmaster's Beard Yeast Is the Official Drink of No-Shave November

Meet Rogue Ales' Beard Beer.

Oregon-based brewery Rogue Ales, which makes Beard Beer — a beer brewed with "wild yeast created from" its brewmaster John Maier's beard — is teaming up with the only charity that it complements, No-Shave November. Maier hasn't shaved  his beard since 1978, so "it's no great surprise that a natural yeast ideal for brewing was discovered on his beard." The charity, according to a press release, asks people to stop shaving for the month of November in order to raise awareness and funds to support cancer research which is likely the best reason to guzzle beard yeast beer that will ever exist.
