Here's a sneak peek at famed French chef Jacques Pépin's new cooking series for KQED, which is slated to be his "final" show. The series' 26 episodes were filmed last fall in the KQED studios in San Francisco and at Pépin's home in Connecticut. The show will reflect on Pépin's lengthy 60-year career and will feature guests like fellow French chef Jacques Torres.
The preview features plenty of throwback footage of Pépin as a young chef in Paris and of his friendship with Julia Child. There will be lots of cooking on the show, too, of course. Pépin, along with members of his family such as his daughter and grand daughter, will teach viewers how make everything from crepes to a French duck salad. Jacques Pépin: Heart & Soul premieres September 12.
