Pumpkin Spice Lattes Hit Starbucks Stores September 8

It's later than usual, but still — so soon!

Try to remain calm, Starbucks fans: Pumpkin Spice Lattes — one of the few seasonal, non-alcoholic beverages that has a cult following and its own Twitter account — will be back next month. This year's September 8 release date falls later in the year than in years past. Last year, the company released the beverage on August 25, but, let's be honest, a date in September feels a lot more seasonally appropriate.

The good news is that megafans can get an early taste of the beverage as soon as September 4, according to CNBC. It's not the first time Starbucks has granted early access to regular customers based on some kind of scavenger hunt or their app rewards status. Exactly how customers will be able to get in on this early taste is not yet clear.

Earlier this month Starbucks announced it would be using real pumpkin in its Pumpkin Spice Lattes for the first time ever. The move comes as consumers become increasingly aware of the ingredients used in mass marketed food items, and continue to demand more transparency and better quality from food purveyors.
