Watch Jimmy Kimmel Chat With the Pizza-Topped Pizza Inventor

The Brooklyn pizzeria has sold nearly 1,000 slices of the novelty pizza in a week.

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live, host Jimmy Kimmel interviewed the man behind what may be one of the greatest innovations of the modern era — the pizza topped with pizza. Sean Berthiaume, the co-owner of Brooklyn pizza shop Vinnie's Pizzeria, explains to Kimmel that he came up with the pizza creation while "bored at work" one day. Kimmel then asks Berthiaume what everyone has been thinking: "Did medical marijuana play a role in this decision?" To which Berthiaume sheepishly answers, "[It's] not medical." Since introducing the extra pizza-y slice last week, Berthiaume tells Kimmel that he has sold about 1,000 slices so far.
