The latest advancement in beer storage comes from a partnership between Google and Canadian beer company Molson. According to TechCrunch, this new beer fridge uses Google's speech recognition technology to recognize up to 40 different languages and open via voice command. The finished product, built by digital studio ThinkingBox, comes just in time for Canada's July 1 birthday and will be featured at Toronto's PanAm games next month.
The existing test run was programed to open once it recognized Molton's marketing slogan "I am Canadian" in six different languages. Once it hears the phrase, the door opens to reveal shelves packed with cans of the Canadian brew. Check out the video below as local Canadians do their best to put the technology into action.
