Take note, neo-hippies: Southern California-based chain BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse is offering big bucks to the first parents to name their newborn child "Quinoa." Parents of a child born between now and Labor Day can trade their kid's name — and, presumably, their dignity — for $10,000 worth of gift cards that can be used at any BJ's location across the country, reports Entrepreneur. The offer is apparently in coordination with the launch of new quinoa menu items being served by the chain.

"We are so excited to introduce these amazing new quinoa bowls that we wanted to do something big, maybe even a little crazy," BJ's chief marketing officer and bad-idea producer Kevin Mayer said in a statement.
