Vegetable pusher Michelle Obama brought her healthy eating rampage to Europe today. The AP reports Obama spread the gospel of her "Let's Move" initiative at Expo Milan, a world's fair. Obama hosted a cooking demonstration at the James Beard Restaurant at Seven Stars Galleria today.

Channeling Ina Garten, FLOTUS demonstrated a lentil, barley, and rice salad to an international crowd of middle school students from the American School of Milan. Hundreds gathered to watch her arrival at the fair.

Though she was promoting an initiative meant to curtail obesity around the world and especially in the U.S., the First Lady was characteristically charming and funny. At one point, while talking about how President Barack Obama "always takes time for dinner with the family ..." and how if you spend time at the dinner table with family and friends "you probably eat less." She joked, "We don't shovel. Well, the president shovels sometimes ..."

She also had some bad news for the kids: "You gotta eat your vegetables ... Yeah, sorry about that." Later, Mrs. Obama dined with the students and signed each of their aprons.

FLOTUS's pitch perfect approach to "Let's Move" once included a vine in which she changed the words to DJ Snake and Lil Jon's raunchy song "Turn Down for What" to be about an unpopular vegetable. The social media video went viral when it was released last October.
