Here are more details on restauranteur/Italian superstar Joe Bastianich's upcoming music festival. According to a press release, Bastianich will host the second annual Bastianich Music Festival (plus points for an imaginative name) in Cividale Del Friuli, Italy on the grounds of the Bastianich Winery this summer. It sounds like a low-key Glastonbury that swaps rain boots, muddy farmland, and major headliners, for vineyards and Bastianich's collection of fedoras.
Last year's festival was much smaller in scale, but the release promises that this year's is a "large scale music event." There will be performances by musicians from around the U.S., U.K., and Italy like 5-piece funk band Pimps of Joytime and Italian electro-pop duo M+A. Best of all, Bastianich himself will perform a "collection of American classics" with one his bandmates, too. Tickets for the festival — which will take place August 1 — go on sale at the end of June.
