Dinner parties, restaurants, and love: These are the things that matter in Open Tables, a new film from director Jack C. Newell. Telling the story of a group of friends and their hits and misses in relationships, the movie is centered around restaurant tables across Chicago. In the opening credits alone, several Windy City eateries make cameos, including Province, Publican, and The Boarding House.
The cast includes T.J. Jagadowski (Stranger Than Fiction, The Ice Harvest), Joel Murray (Mad Men, The Artist), and David Pasquesi (Veep, Father of the Bride), among others. Two screenings at the Woods Hole (Mass.) Film Festival are currently scheduled: Sunday, July 26, 7 p.m. and Friday, July 31, at 9 p.m. For an early look at Open Tables, check out the film's opening credits and trailer below.
