Here's an exclusive clip from CNBC's Consumed: The Real Restaurant Business, which premieres next Wednesday, May 13 at 10 p.m. ET. The new docu-series promises to delve into the "real" restaurant business, documenting financial struggles, the realities of raising capital, and the differences between brash, hot-shot newcomers with rapid expansion plans like The Meatball Shop, and family-run, old-school mainstays like Ann & Tony's in the Bronx. The season follows five New York City restaurants and will run for eight one-hour episodes.
