This Artist Patches Potholes With Beautiful Ice Cream Mosaics

Awesome art in the streets.

Facebook

Artist Jim Bachor just got tired of potholes. He got tired of seeing them, of driving over them with his car, and the fact that the City of Chicago could rarely deign to go out and fix them. So he took matters into his own hands and began filling them himself: with different, colorful mosaics, some of which are gorgeous-looking ice cream novelties. In his "Treats in the Streets" series, Bachor serves a duel purpose: getting rid of pesky potholes in Chicago (and in Finland) and taking people on a trip back into more childish time of sweet, carefree sense memory.
