Feast Portland (which is officially titled Bon Appétit Presents Feast Portland: A Celebration of Oregon Bounty) is gearing up to invade the Rose City for the fourth consecutive year with four days of dinners, panels, parties, and classes. Tickets for the event, which will take place September 17-20, are now available on the Feast Portland website. Prices vary per event, but tickets to the marquee event on September 19, "Smoked!," cost $135. Full details below.
Local chefs participating include Elias Cairo (Olympia Provisions), Greg Denton and Gabrielle Quiñónez Denton (OX Restaurant), Jason French (Ned Ludd), John Gorham (Toro Bravo), Stephanie Pearl Kimmel (Marché), Gregory Gourdet (Departure), Vitaly Paley (Imperial), Naomi Pomeroy (Beast), Andy Ricker (Pok Pok), Adam Sappington (The County Cat), Cathy Whims (Nostrana), and more.
The list of out-of-town chefs is impressive, and includes Andrew Carmellini (Bar Primi), Adrienne Lo (Fat Rice), Harold Dieterle of (Kin Shop), Aaron Franklin (Franklin Barbecue), Vivian Howard (Chef & the Farmer), Michael Hung (Faith + Flower), Paul Kahan (The Publican), Harold Moore of (Harold's Meat + 3), Nancy Silverton (Mozza), Alex Stupak (Empellon), Rachel Yang (Joule), and more.
Feast Portland will showcase its Dinner Series, which bills itself as "utterly unique, intimate, multi-chef collaboration dinners hosted at top local restaurants." It will also feature a panel called Drink Tank, in which national drink experts explore topics like "European-style farmhouse ales at American microbreweries, rare beers with cult-like followings, alcohol and balance in Pinot Noir, the resurging popularity of margaritas, and the love and lore of American whiskey."
