As first spotted on Twitter, here's the cover of the upcoming cookbook from indie food magazine Lucky Peach. Titled Lucky Peach 101 Easy Asian Recipes, it's written by the magazine's editor Peter Meehan and will be published by Clarkson Potter. The cover is reminiscent of an old school food magazine and features plates of dumplings, a take out container-turned-planter, and a kitschy maneki neko, or lucky cat. The book will be released October 27.

Craig Carlson, the founder of Parisian chainlet Breakfast in America, has landed a cookbook deal. According to Publishers Marketplace, Pancakes in Paris will center around his journey "to create Paris’s first American-style diner and bring the joys of a classic American breakfast to the land of crepes." The cookbook will be published by Sourcebooks and is slated to hit shelves in the spring of 2016.

Toronto restaurateur Jen Agg (The Black Hoof, Rhum Corner) — who will soon open a restaurant called Agrikol with band Arcade Fire in Montreal — is writing a book. Publishers Marketplace writes that it will be titled I Hear She's a Real Bitch and will be published by Appetite. The book centers around Agg building her own restaurant empire "in a male-dominated industry." There is no release date yet.
