Former teen heartthrob/actor/total dad Freddie Prinze Jr. is writing a cookbook. According to Publishers Marketplace, it's called Back to the Kitchen and it will be chock full of "healthy recipes he cooks daily for his family." Co-authored by writer Rachel Wharton, the cookbook will showcase the flavors of Prinze Jr.'s "childhood in New Mexico... and his Puerto Rican heritage." Back to the Kitchen will be published by Rodale. There is no release date yet.

Wife of comedian Jerry Seinfeld and cookbook author Jessica Seinfeld has landed a two book deal with Ballantine. Publishers Marketplaces writes that first up is her fourth cookbook — currently untitled — which will be released in the fall of 2016. She will also publish a "humorous collection of personal essays and observations."

The Toast and Serious Eats contributor Jaya Saxena has landed a book deal with Page Street publishing. Called Cooking History, it will be a cookbook and "historical look at well-loved restaurants and their famous dishes," notes Publishers Marketplace. No release date has been given yet.

Finally, New York Times bestselling author Kristen Proby is writing a new series about "five long time girlfriends who co-own a hip restaurant in Portland." Publishers Marketplace notes that the first book — titled Fusion — will focus on the story of the restaurant's manager falling for a "former superstar rocker." The book — which is part of a three-book deal with William Morrow — hits shelves spring 2016.
