Here's an exclusive first look at the cover of the Olympia Provisions Cookbook, which is slated for release this fall by publisher Ten Speed Press. The Portland-based restaurant-salumeria, which was forced to change its name from Olympic Provisions after a cease-and-desist from the International Olympic Committee, employed the services of cookbook author Meredith Erickson to pen the tome with Olympia Provisions co-founder Elias Cairo.
The Swiss-inspired cover was cut by paper artist Julene Harrison. According to the publisher, "We were inspired by the large Swiss portion of the book and referred to the 'scherenschnitte' style of the Swiss with a modern twist. The case has a paper-textured finish with intricate debossing to give more dimension and depth to the cut paper technique."
