Shouty chef Gordon Ramsay can't stop opening restaurants. According to Big Hospitality, his latest venture will be in Bordeaux, France. Located within the Grand Hotel de Bordeaux & Spa, this will be Ramsay's second restaurant in the country. The chef is partnering with the Fiancière Immobilière Bordelaise (FIB) hotel group to take over the hotel's restaurant Le Pressoir d'Argent, which is currently closed.
When he reopens the restaurant, Ramsay will serve a menu of "dishes created from seasonal ingredients from the region alongside its famous wines." FIB chief executive Michel Ohayon tells Big Hospitality that "Gordon Ramsay's arrival in Bordeaux is the cause of much excitement." Sud Ouest (translated) notes that there is currently no reopening date.
The Bordeaux news comes fresh off of an announcement by Ramsay that he plans to open a third location of this steak-and-sushi concept Maze Grill in London. The chef also revealed earlier this year that he is expanding his empire to Singapore and Macau and that he wants to open restaurants in Shanghai and Beijing as well.
