Umami Burger's Adam Fleischman to Host New Cooking Competition Show

Umami Burger founder/maker of chocolate fried chicken Adam Fleischman will soon add TV host to his resume. According to Deadline Hollywood, the restaurateur is teaming up with Real Husbands of Hollywood producer Jesse Collins on a TV series titled Midnight Cook Club.

The show is described as a talk show with a food competition element. It will also serve as an "examination of American cuisine" — whatever that means. Fleischman will act as host and executive producer. There are no details regarding what network the show will air on or when it will premiere.

Fleischman is a busy man as of late: On top of a new TV show, he is currently running a perplexing "quasi-science" site that claims it will "revolutionize the restaurant industry" and "help to alter the very framework through which we see the world." He is also opening a fast-casual concept with chef Joshua Skenes (Saison) in San Francisco called Fat Noodle.
