Acclaimed chef and restaurateur Nobu Matsuhisa is working on a memoir. Matsuhisa is the chef behind the long-standing Nobu empire of Japanese restaurants which he started with actor Robert DeNiro. NYC's Nobu Fifty Seven recently celebrated its 20 year anniversary. Today, there are Nobu locations in seemingly all corners of the globe from New York to Miami to Hong Kong to London.

According to Publishers Marketplace, the memoir — which is currently untitled — is both about his "dramatic" life story and a reflection "on the philosophy and passion " that made him into a "respected" international restaurateur. While there is currently no release date for the book, it will be published by Emily Bestler Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Eater has reached out for more details.
