A photographer from the UK is shaming the restaurant world on Twitter for discarding the humble plate in favor of strange and atypical serving platters. Called We Want Plates, the account is tweeting out what appears to be an endless stream of meals served on non-plates as part of its crusade "against serving food on bits of wood and roof tiles." There image range is crazy: Beef curry is served in a toilet bowl, cocktails in plant pots, and cakes on a mini picnic bench. There are even croquettes being served in a shoe.
