Eater Today: Michelin's Latest Guide; Chipotle Bested by Regional Chain; More

Plus, Seattle is getting its own Kombucha cafe.

Michelin will soon release the 34th edition of its dining guide to the Main Cities of Europe. In the book there's information on 2,380 restaurants from 46 cities across 20 countries like Spain, Poland, Italy, and Greece. For the first time, restaurants in Aarhus, Denmark and Malmo, Sweden will be represented. The guide is "intended for business travellers and tourists" and will hit shelves March 12.

Mega corporation McDonald's finally decided that it does in fact have enough money to pay the artists participating in its showcase at the SXSW festival. Last week, Brian Harding of the band Ex Cops posted an open letter about the chain's stingy ways. After some serious backlash, the company had "a change of heart."

Has the world hit peak fermentation? Eater Seattle reports that the city is getting its very own kombucha cafe that will offer snacks, beer, and of course, kombucha on tap.

Sesame Street superstar and dessert lover Cookie Monster turned his attention to a more savory dish recently: Pizza. The blue character demonstrates that pizza is not only delicious but good for learning geometry. Go, watch:

Rubio's — a burrito chain with 190 locations on the West Coast — is
steadily gaining popularity over Chipotle. While many say that the chain's dishes "taste better than Chipotle," the real draw is that they are more waistline-friendly. Chipotle is notorious for its high calorie counts and Rubio's CEO Ralph Rubio says "he's focused on keeping menu items healthy."
