Epicurious Rebrands As a 'Food Utility'; Curtis Duffy Doc Lands at SXSW

Plus, Relais & Châteaux's GourmetFest 2015.

THE INTERNET— Recipe site Epicurious.com, which is owned by the Conde Nast publishing group, has officially relaunched into what publisher Pamela Drucker Mann is calling a "food utility." According to a press release, the new Epicurious includes interactive tools like the predictive "Cook It," which tailors recipe suggestions to the user's tastes, and a "Food Forecast" that offers recipes based on the reader's local weather outside. Poke around at epicurious.com. [EaterWire]

AUSTIN— The SXSW Festival (that's South By Southwest, for the uninitiated) has announced its film line-up for 2015, and For Grace, the documentary about two-Michelin-starred Chicago chef Curtis Duffy, will screen during the festival as part of its "Documentary Spotlight." The event will mark For Grace's official world premiere — to date, it's only been shown once, in Chicago. (In other SXSW news, director Lewis Bennett's documentary, The Sandwich Nazi, will compete in the festival's Documentary Feature category.) Re-watch the For Grace trailer here. [EaterWire]

CALIFORNIA— Relais & Châteaux has released the lineup for its second-annual GourmetFest, once again slated for L'Auberge Carmel in California. Chefs Diego Muñoz (of Peru's Astrid&Gastón), Michel Bras, and Gary Danko are among the visiting chefs during the March 5 to 8 festival, which features events like a rare-wine dinner and a wild mushroom hunt.
