It'll be a restaurant in Knoxville, Tennessee.

After 10 years in the kitchen (including five as the executive chef), Joseph Lenn is leaving the kitchens of Blackberry Farm, the dining destination/resort/Sports Illustrated cover site located in Walland, Tennessee. According to a press release, Lenn — who received the 2013 James Beard Award for Best Chef: Southeast — will step down in early April, citing hopes to open his own restaurant in Knoxville, Tennessee sometime in the near future. Cassidee Dabney will take over as executive chef. The press release offers no details about Lenn's future projects, but in the past, Lenn has cited his love for local produce as a main influencer: "Cooking close to my roots is a dream," he told Forbes in 2013. "I grew up in the area, and the cuisine we serve reflects many of the stories from my granny and my mother." More details about Lenn's upcoming restaurant as they become available.
