Watch Six New Yorkers Describe Their Complex Relationships With Coffee

In a short film directed by Swallow magazine's James Casey.

Here's a fun short film published by NOWNESS that playfully investigates six New Yorkers' often "complicated" relationships with coffee. The film features chefs, certified coffee nerds, coffee kiosk owners, and coffee writer Oliver Strand describing their daily interactions with the caffeinated cup. "You have it at a very vulnerable part of the day," the film, titled Six Degrees of Caffeination, argues. "It can really frame how at least the morning will unfold, if not the entire day. So, if you can turn that moment into something that's very aesthetic and very beautiful... that makes you happy, how can you not?"
