In honor of this hallowed American holiday (Presidents' Day), here's a toast to presidents of yesteryear in the form of an NPR interview with Brian Abrams, author of Party Like a President: True Tales of Inebriation, Lechery and Mischief from the Oval Office. In the "Morning Edition" story, David Greene gets Abrams to reveal why FDR was a terrible bartender (he over-garnished), and which presidents he'd most want to drink with (that'd be Gerald Ford and his two-gin-martinis-per-flight habit). And according to Abrams, Andrew Jackson was the president who threw the most out-of-control White House party. Listen in to the interview here.
