When California teen Cher Horowitz suggested in the cult-classic film Clueless that she didn't need to learn how to parallel park because "everywhere you go has valet," she knew what she was talking about. According to UPI, the Encina Grande shopping center in Walnut Creek, Calif. is offering free valet parking for customers, including those stopping by the strip mall's Taco Bell.

While the new service is certainly convenient, it's merely intended to be a temporary fix to a construction issue, reports the Contra Costa Times. Due to Encina Grande's $18 million redevelopment, large scale construction has made it difficult for customers to navigate the parking lot. It looks like the mall is offering the valet service only until the construction is completed as a way to smooth the flow of traffic in the area; but while most patrons use valet when going for extended shopping trips, savvy Taco Bell lovers have been taking advantage of the service when they want to make a run for the border. However, the VIP treatment is only available between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and then again from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

This latest bulletin adds to a recent slew of good news for Taco Bell fanatics. Earlier this month, the chain rewarded its customers by serving free A.M. Crunchwraps and more recently joined restaurants like McDonald'sPanera, and Dunkin' Donuts promising to serve only cage-free eggs by 2017. In the past couple of months, the company has also launched croissant tacos and naked crispy chicken tacos, continuing to experiment with wacky new menu items. All this good news is surely enough to make people forget about the woman who received a metal spring inside her quesadilla. Maybe.
