Celebrities: They're just like us! Meaning, sometimes when attending a fancy dinner party they embarrass themselves in front of rich people.

Much-lauded Copenhagen restaurant Noma, known for its experimental cuisine, hosted a pricey pop-up Tuesday night on Wall Street. It was there that actor Alan Cumming and Dee Hilfiger — wife of fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger — apparently committed quite the culinary faux pas, and it wasn't using the wrong fork for the salad course.

The gossip hounds at Page Six report:

Tuesday’s event, thrown for the upcoming 14th Factory exhibition, included a 10-course dinner designed by famed Cophenhagen, Denmark, restaurant Noma that included sea urchin toast, black garlic flower and a dessert of fried moss covered in chocolate, placed on what diners thought was a bed of potted grass and edible dirt. "Dee said she’d had a similar dish in Copenhagen where you’re supposed to eat the entire presentation," says a source. "Dee and Alan ate the edible parts and just kept going. They burst into hysterics when they realized the grass and dirt were real."

Surely the rest of the one-percenters at the $5,000-a-head dinner were equally as enchanted by the celebrities' adorable dirt-eating gaffe. And the dirt made an excellent chaser for the deep-fried moss, no doubt.
