Comedy Central's animated show South Park is taking on the controversial review site Yelp this week. A clip of the upcoming episode features Cartman dining at a Mexican restaurant in town eating plates of chips, tacos, and enchiladas. The server delivers "another taco plate and the taquitos" to Cartman, who is quick to remind him of his elite standing: "Oh thank you. And did I mention I am a food critic for Yelp?" The episode appears to make fun of Yelp users who believe they are food critics and thus entitled to money or special treatment (some have even sued over this belief).
There are few details available about the show, but if it's anything like South Park episodes in the past that have tackled subjects like foodies, Food Network, celebrity chefs, and the gluten-free trend, Yelpers should take cover.
