Negroni Recipe Updated: NYC's Eben Freeman Makes a Camparinette

This version of the classic gin cocktail comes from the Genuine Liquorette bartender.

As part of Cocktail Week, watch Eben Freeman, the man behind the bar at New York City's Genuine Liquorette, make a cocktail he calls the Camparinette. Also made with Campari and vermouth, Freeman's take on a negroni is a little heavier on the gin than the standard variation. Watch this video and follow the instructions below to make thestandout cocktail at home.

CAMPARINeTTE by EBEN FREEMAN

One serving.

What You'll Need:
1.5 oz. Gin
1 oz. Campari
1 oz. Sweet vermouth
Orange peel
Ice
Nick and Nora glass
Mixing glass and stirrer
Strainer
Matches

Instructions:
Measure out and pour liquids into chilled mixing glass. Add ice and stir, and repeat. Strain and pour into glass. Garnish with flamed orange peel.
