There's a new place to grab drinks at Downtown Disney: Starbucks. According to the Orlando Sentinel, the coffee behemoth has added its expanding "Starbucks Evenings" program to the store in Orlando, Florida. Now, customers can knock back wine and beer alongside the usual Starbucks menu of Frappuccinos, teas, and now even Flat Whites after 4 p.m. As part of the program, the location will also serve a ritzy food menu of dishes like bacon-wrapped dates, parmesan chicken skewers, and truffle macaroni and cheese, because what trendy menu could be complete without truffle macaroni and cheese?
Starbucks first launched its Evenings program in 2010; the chain plans to install it in a quarter of its locations in the next five years. The Orlando Sentinel writes that there are currently only 30 stores nationwide that serve beer and wine, and that Downtown Disney location is the first to have the program in Florida. Perhaps the Starbucks in Disney World — yes, the one with the lemongrass roof — will be next.
