Matt Lauer Denies Affair With Giada De Laurentiis

Television host Matt Lauer is just BFFs with Food Networkperson Giada De Laurentiis, not friends with benefits, as he explained to TMZ on Saturday. Rumors are circulating that the reason De Laurentiis is divorcing her fashion designer husband of 11 years is because of illicit affairs with Lauer, chef Bobby Flay, and even sleazy singer John Mayer. De Laurentiis denied all of the rumors last week telling Gossip Cop, "My long-time friendships with my co-workers Matt Lauer and Bobby Flay are exactly that — long-time friendships."

Now Lauer is backing that story, telling TMZ that they've only been spotted together because they have been friends for 10 years. He adds that he "feels bad" about what De Laurentiis is currently going through. According to the Daily Mail, Flay — who De Laurentiis was spotted dining with just days before she announced her divorce — has yet to comment on the situation.
