Watch a Comedian Explain 'Why Starbucks Spells Your Name Wrong'

New, 7 comments

Here's a hilariously on-point video by comedian Paul Gale that skewers Starbucks baristas' long-documented inability to spell some people's names correctly. (The joke goes both ways, equally making fun of those who haughtily post spelling errors on social media.) Speaking from the point-of-view of a Starbucks barista, Gale calmly explains: "I decided to write 'Gessika' on your cup to play with your emotions in a shrewd and calculating way. And it worked."

Gale warns unsuspecting Starbucks customers that intentionally misspelling names is "the best part of my job. And I. Will never. Stop." There's also a sad interlude featuring "poor, poor Nykel" (aka a traumatized Starbucks customer named Michael). Go, watch:
