To promote his upcoming cookbook Never Trust a Skinny Italian Chef — out October 6 from Phaidon — Italian chef Massimo Bottura is going on a six-city US book tour. A combination of lectures, tastings, and book signings, the tour will stop in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, New York City, Chicago and Austin between September 8 and October 17.
Bottura is the chef of Osteria Francescana in Modena, Italy, which is currently number three on the World's 50 Best List. The cookbook, according to the publisher, "is a tribute to Bottura's 25-year career and the evolution of Osteria Francescana." It will contain 50 recipes (pre-order on Amazon).
