Michelin Wire

Screen Shot 2014-09-08 at 11.07.20 AM.pngNext year's Michelin guide will be released later this month (for certain regions), so Michelin talked to chefs who gained or lost a star in recent years. Locks Brasserie, in Portobello, Dublin gained one Michelin star in 2013 but lost it in 2014. Says chef Keelan Higgs: "I was there for two and a half years before, so I had very much been a part of the gaining of it [the star] through writing menus and looking after the kitchen. When you've put in eight to 10 years of being a chef and then get something like that, it's the best feeling ever really, and then losing it is probably the worst thing that can happen."
