Foodieodicals' Online Pop-Up Shop; Tamar Adler Lands NYT Column

Plus, an auction for Ferran Adrià's return to elBulli (of sorts).

FOOD MEDIA— The organizers behind the annual Food Book Fair have joined forces with Farm to People to launch an online pop-up shop offering curated "bundles" of independently published food magazines. The "foodieodicals" are loosely organized by topic (like "World Traveler, Part I, featuring issues of Fool, The Gourmand, and The Carton) and are available for purchase here. [EaterWire]

FOOD MEDIA— Food writer/cookbook author Tamar Adler has been added to the food columnist roster of the New York Times' weekly magazine. According to a press release, Adler — author of An Everlasting Meal: Cooking With Economy and Grace — will alternate columns with existing contributors Mark Bittman and Sam Sifton. Her first piece, which focuses on the art of dining alone, will debut this weekend. [EaterWire]

NEW YORK CITY— In October, Ferran Adrià will team up with Eleven Madison Park's Daniel Humm to recreate his elBulli menu: Unsurprisingly, the dinner is already sold out, but a pair of tickets will be available on auction starting October 2, as part of a fundraiser for literacy organization Room to Read. The event takes place October 23, and Room to Read is already accepting advance bids. More information here. [EaterWire]
