Lena Dunham on Food: 'Diet Is a Four-Letter Word'

Not That Kind of Girl is in bookstores today.

Frederick M. Brown

Actor/writer/producer/Girls creator Lena Dunham’s new book Not That Kind of Girl drops today, and it’s filled with references to her favorite foods and "her struggles with them." Yahoo Food takes a look at the chapter titled "‘Diet’ Is a Four-Letter Word" in which Dunham talks about everything from her decade-long attempt to be a vegan to her love for nachos.

Dunham also hilariously writes of her childhood snack staples: "Doritos. Steak. Sara Lee pound cake (preferably still half frozen)." She also opens up about what college was like ("An orgy of soy ice cream, overstuffed burritos, and bad midwestern pizza inhaled at 3:00 AM") and her childhood diet of mice-shaped pancakes. Not That Kind of Girl is on bookshelves today.
