Scotch whisky company Ardbeg has sent whisky into space to see how it matures in a microgravity environment. The vials will return to the lab on September 11, at which point scientists will "unlock the mysteries of maturation, through the study of the interaction between Ardbeg-crafted molecules and charred oak, both in micro-gravity (in orbit) and normal gravity (in Ardbeg's Warehouse 3)."
