A noodle vendor in China was detained by police after he admitted to adding powdered poppy plant — the substance used to make opium — to unsuspecting customers' dishes. A local paper reports the chef told police he "added it to his food to make it taste better and to improve his business"; he was caught after a customer tested positive for the drug at a traffic stop.
