Dunkin' Donuts opened its first location in Los Angeles, Calif. today and people lined up Cronut-style to get a taste of some Munchkins. The store opened at 5 a.m. this morning and the first 100 people in line were promised a free Dunkin' swag bag. According to Playboy, people really like free things. Some customers began lining up for nearly 24 hours before the store opened.

The first person in line — who also won a year of free coffee — was actor Johnny Hoops who arrived at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night, or about 31.5 hours early. Hoops, an East coast native, explains to Playboy: "I miss Dunkin' Donuts. I love Dunkin' Donuts. I always had to go to Vegas to get it because it wasn't here in LA." Luckily for Hoops and other West coast Dunkin' Donuts lovers, the chain has ambitious plans to open 1,000 new stores in California, the first 150 of which will open within the next several years.
